The weather systems created by Africa’s forests do not only water Africa, they move westwards over the Atlantic to water the east of Brazil where they join the Amazon Basin pump, which sends rainfall north to water the corn-belt of the USA and Canada, and back across the Atlantic to Britain and Europe – watering crops, filling aquifers and powering hydro-electric generators (for animated map of global weather systems see:
